Necessaire: The Body Exfoliator

There is nothing like a good exfoliation. Granted, I've always been hyped about facial exfoliation, I'm equally excited about the removal of dead skin on the entire body. In my day, I have tried many methods to exfoliate. Some have been great, like scrubs and others have been a waste, such as exfoliating mittens, in my opinion.   

The Body Exfoliator is an exceptional addition to anyone's routine. One of the highlights of the brand is that they do not offer products that are harmful to the body. This is always a plus. There are three offerings currently when it comes to The Body Exfoliator, which are Sandalwood, Eucalyptus, and Unscented.   

So what's in The Body Exfoliator? The key ingredients are Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Pumice, and Bamboo Charcoal. It is suggested that the product is used up to 2 times a week or as desired. 

MY EXPERIENCE: 

When I received The Body Exfoliator, I was excited to try it. Mainly because I needed a physical form of exfoliation and because it wasn't the typical sugar scrub I tend to reach for. Although it was part of a set, I wanted to use it solo for the first time. During my shower, I opened the tube and squeezed it out to see the product. Upon first sight, it reminded me of aloe vera gel with tiny black beads. I applied it to my damp skin and started to rub. The "tiny beads" are actually the pumice, which is not harsh at all on the skin. I liked that I could feel the exfoliation happening. The site said that it would foam, but I didn’t notice any foaming, well, not foaming in the traditional sense. When I finished rubbing it in and couldn't feel the exfoliation any more, I rinsed it off. One thing I noticed was the mini trail of black stuff on the bottom of my shower, but I didn't care too much since the clean-up would be simple (moving the shower head to let the water run it away).             

Overall, I enjoyed The Body Exfoliator. I really noticed a difference the second time I used it because I introduced the shower gel. Although I had the unscented version, I think the other exfoliators would be equally amazing. I really look forward to the day that I have my full Necessaire routine in place, which is coming soon.
