Moisturizer

Moisturizer

Next to a good serum, a good moisturizer is needed. There are many price points for moisturizers and it is extremely important to know that just because it costs more, that doesn’t mean it will out perform one with a lower price tag. The most important factor to consider, outside of the ingredient list, is your skin type. You want to make sure that you are getting a moisturizer that is best suited for your skin. For example, I have combination skin. That pretty much means I have a mixture of dry areas and oily areas, especially with the T-zone. If I use a light cream, I will be okay. However, gel based moisturizers actually work best for me, at this point in my life. In the event anything thicker is used, my face will look super oily. If you are not sure what type of moisturizer to get, I'd recommend starting with a simple GOOGLE search. Just based on some things I've heard, if you have dry or mature skin, reach for a cream. Yes, oily skin friends need a moisturizer too. Gel based moisturizers will get the job done. Surprisingly, the people in my life with oily skin will try to argue me down about using a moisturizer. I just give them my recommendation and keep it moving. The lucky ones, normal skin, can get away with a lot more, in terms of options. When in doubt, seek help from a dermatologist or Sephora! In closing, make sure you keep your skin hydrated and moisturized. I have tried a large gambit of moisturizers. The face just feels and looks better when you use one, trust me.
