Hello!

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in beauty. Hope you have a beautiful day!

Exfoliate, Then Cleanse??

Exfoliate, Then Cleanse??

I love learning new ways to do things. As much as I love skincare and beauty products, trust me, I don’t know everything, thus my curiosity and willingness to explore. During one of my many expeditions on social media, Twitter to be exact, I saw someone mentioned exfoliating the dead skin away first and then cleansing.

Before you explode, hear me out. In theory, the purpose is to remove the dead skin away first. Then once the old and dead stuff is gone, clean the fresh, supple skin. At first, it seemed strange, until I tried it.

At the time, I had a nice physical exfoliating face wash and not the hated one we all know about. I used it and followed up with my non foaming face wash. The results: nice, soft and supple skin. This was before completing the routine.

Do I do this often? No. Granted I liked the results, but now, I like to use chemical exfoliation to achieve glowing skin. However, I do revisit this change of steps in my routine.

Would you exfoliate and then cleanse?
