Drink The Damn Water!

Drink The Damn Water!

Before you continue reading, please understand that this post is just my opinion based on personal experience and there will be no science articles linked. Consider this an easy and light read.

Yes, I am a lover of water. I can drink it with ice or without. Bottled or straight from the tap. Sparkling or with citrus. Flavored or even plain, I just love water. To be honest, there is just nothing like a big glass of water. One of my teachers once referred to me like a tall glass of water because I was refreshing.

Now, why are we here? Easy. I want you to make sure you drink water. For so long, I'm sure you have heard about the age-old debate on whether drinking water helps your skin. I recently came across a YouTube video about the very topic. The dermatologist stated there was not enough scientific evidence to back up or deny if drinking water actually helps the skin.

Just from personal experience, drinking water does help. Granted, drinking water is not a cure-all and just drinking water without a routine is not going to give you Facetune perfect skin either. From my perspective, when the body is hydrated you feel better, thus looking better. I know my body well enough to know when I need water simply because I can FEEL it and I can SEE it. There have been times where I was basically dehydrated and completed my skincare routine and still looked a bit off. I knew I wasn’t consuming enough water. I just looked and felt tired. I have also noticed that when I do drink water and complete my routine, I have a glow.

They say you are what you eat/consume, which is a bit true and the consumption of waterfalls into that realm too, in my opinion. The body is made mostly of water and like any source of water, if used, it needs to be replenished. Drinking more water cannot be a bad thing. Yes, when you feel good, you look good and vice versa. I can say that for certain. Working on getting a nice, plump glow is something that can be done both internally and externally. Overall, know your body and drink more water.  If you are not a water drinker, I encourage you to try to increase your intake. It will become one of those things that you just can't live without, like a good moisturizer or SPF, trust me!
