Spa Day Needed

Spa Day Needed

I love sharing my experiences with you in hopes that it will inspire you to try something new. One of the best random things I've done for myself is going to a spa for a massage. I can't recall what exactly prompted me to go other than just wanting to try it. I went to everybody's trusted know it all friend, GOOGLE for some locations. Luckily, I was able to find a spa close to me. I booked the 60 minute session.

On the day of the appointment, I was excited, naturally. Who wouldn’t be? It was my first massage. Full body! I do recall booking a deep tissue massage, but because  it was my first one, the masseuse thought it would be best not to. I was just happy any way and it was the same price.

At the designated time, I was there. I walked into the place and was escorted to the room where the massage was going to take place. I recall a nice lavender smell and soft music playing. The masseuse came in and provided instructions to basically get undressed and get on the table. Please note, I was not nude and there was nothing seedy about the experience. She stepped out of the room to give me privacy while I removed my clothes. When she came back in, she was ready to start.

I recall starting on my stomach and she really helped with the tension in my shoulder area. She stayed there for a while, which I liked and then made her way down to my back. Eventually, she got to massage my arms, hands, legs and feet. Surprisingly, an hour goes by very fast if you are relaxed. The whole experience made we want to book another appointment, but for two hours! Once I was done, I was instructed to drink water and take it easy for the rest of the day. That was easy considering I was off of work at the time. I paid for the service and went back home.

In the event you are thinking of getting a massage or gifting one to a person, do it. It's one of the best things you can do!
