Salute the Samples!

One thing I learned about early in my life is always getting or requesting a sample. It does not matter what it is, but in this case, let's stick to beauty related items. If you, the seller, want me to buy something, I need to give it a test run. In magazines, they have insert samples of new fragrances and sometimes, well known and cult favorites. I really love to discovery something new. Back in the day, to test out the fragrance, just open the flap and rub it on the wrist. Now, it seems like it is just best to try it in the store too. The magazine inserts can be a hit or miss.  

Anytime I am out and about sniffing or applying something from a tester, I always request a sample, If I like the product. I find it to be the best way to give something a trial run, without the commitment or the hassle of returning if it is not liked.  

Another example of sampling an item or items would be with the purchase of a discovery set. Usually, the items are in a much smaller size, but you still get to test them out, so to speak. Granted, it’s a small price to pay, but it beat making a purchase of a larger item for a much larger price tag. Plus, purchasing a sample set is a way to support the business. In essence, it’s a win-win for all parties.
