C the Glow

...and it was during my unicorn moment, one of my faves stated their love of vitamin C!

Not so long ago, I was writing for a magazine in Atlanta. It was such a fun and unique experience. It allowed me to realize I can make my dreams come true. I loved doing interviews. The ability to meet someone and pick their brain about their experience was fun. One day, there was a notice sent to conduct an in-person interview. I saw this just as I was leaving my day job and responded.

Fast forward and I was able to meet the one and only LeToya Luckett-Walker. We talked about what was going on in her life then. It was a really lovely interview

At the time, I was a beauty writer/editor and naturally, I had to ask about skincare. One of the products that she loves to use is Vitamin C. It's actually both our favorite part of the skincare routine. We also stan for the usage of a good SPF.

I have tried a few vitamin C serums. There has even been a vitamin C powder. In any event, this wonderful antioxidant helps you glow tremendously. Personally, I like to use mine in the day time. I like the way my skin looks when the sun light hits my face as I tackle the day. Somewhere, I read that using C, in addition to SPF, really helps fight the signs of premature aging and sun damage.

Yes, glowing and radiant skin is a side effect, a good one, of using vitamin C. A good serum can also help with reducing the appearance of dark sports. Furthermore, C helps with fighting some of the harm that comes from the sun's rays.

One thing to consider when searching for a new vitamin C serum is the concentration. You can get something as low as 5% to as high as 20% L-ascorbic acid. It will simply depend on your skin's tolerance. I suggest starting out with a lower percentage and work your way up. Later on, we will be getting a bit deeper into vitamin C serums, just stay tuned!
