REVIEW: Elle Johnson's Pumpkin Puree Enzyme Mask

REVIEW: Elle Johnson's Pumpkin Puree Enzyme Mask

I love this mask. This was technically a blind buy for me because I never tried it before, but my esthetician Lisa provided a treatment that was essential a pumpkin enzyme peel. The glow was epic! So naturally, I couldn’t wait to give this mask a try!

The first thing I noticed was the smell of pumpkin. Duh! It's not bad at all but smells very warm and inviting, like a pie on the Thanksgiving table. As delicious as it sounds and smells, this is actually a wash off exfoliating mask. The Pumpkin Puree Enzyme Mask also contains glycolic acid, which is an AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid).

When using the mask, it is to be placed on clean and dry skin. It has a texture similar to baby food. The smell is so delicious. I have tried applying it with my fingers, which can be a bit messy, as most masks are that are applied with your fingers. It can also be applied with a brush as well. As long as the mask is on for the allotted time, you will be just fine.

After 5 minutes, it is then time to remove the mask. One thing I noticed the first time I used the mask, washing it off with my hands requires a lot of washing. The first two times I tried this method, I decided for the next time, a washcloth will be needed. For a good and faster removal, the washcloth was highly effective.

Once the mask is removed, it is ok to follow up with your normal skincare routine, which is what I did.  With the usage of glycolic, there may be some tingles for some. When I used the mask, I personally did not notice any tingles until I used it one day and tried to recreate the results of my visit with my esthetician. I used steam and would not recommend that with this mask.

Overall, I would recommend this mask to someone that wants to try a new mask, wants to exfoliate, and see results. Please note, like with anything skincare related, your results may vary. I always tend to glow just a bit brighter after exfoliating.  Please give The Pumpkin Puree Enzyme Mask a try.
